On the Right Trajectory

Well, it's been a lot longer than I wanted since my last blog post.  The past two month feel like a whirlwind of sorts.  A lot has been going on in multiple realms of my life and it's been a season of trying to keep up with all the things.  I thought I would break things down and hopefully get things all caught up over the next short period.

It's been lab time again... and your prayers are working!

Sometimes, I like to take my laptop to IV therapy and do some work and recording my labs is a perfect thing for that. I happen to be a graph and chart kind of person, I am visual and love colors as you will see from my Gut Map results below.  Dr. Sarah, Dr. Cochran, and I are quite pleased with the last results... look at all the GREEN!!!! My gut is healing!  The H.Pylori is almost gone and the Calprotectin (which indicates a big inflammation) is going down and my microbiome is almost fully healed.  Praise the Lord!

Below is my terrain labs chart.  The first image is my 2024 labs for the whole year.  The yellow with the red numbers are the things that are out of range.  I like color, remember. The orange at the top are the labs that Dr. Cochran's ran once I started seeing him.  The green indicates that it went back into range - YAY!   So there was some improvement by the end of 2024.  Going in the right direction.  Dr. Cochran told me it's not a sprint but it is a long haul.  This shows that!

So, here are this year's labs so far.  I am down to 4 things to work on!  Going in the right direction.  We are happy with the results.

AND... these results really make me happy!  Chromogranin A is one of our main cancer markers that we are watching and you can see from this chart that last year is was a bit of an uphill battle, but look at this chart!  If you are familiar with charts, particularly stock trading charts you know that lower highs and lower lows are showing a trajectory, and the downward trajectory is exactly what we want.  Dr. Cochran says it's normal for the numbers to fluctuate and this is my kind of fluctuations!!!

So, with all this good news, there is more to go.  We sent tests off to Germany for my CTC (Circulating Tumor Cell) test but something went wrong and we have to redo it.  There have been a couple of issues with paperwork and it looks like I will finally be able to redo the blood draw next week.  That's a big test that tells us a lot.  So far that graph is pretty flat, so we hope it stays that way or goes down, of course.

Also, somehow some extra tests got left off my last blood draw so we are doing those with this next one, and I am believing those will be good.

There is more to tell and I hope to get to that soon, however we have family coming into town and will be preoccupied for awhile.  So we will see how that goes.

I continue to to be grateful for your prayers and the generous financial gifts along the way that we have received personally and through our Go Fund Me account.  With insurance not being helpful we are taking on the full expense of my treatment which means we are building up debt that we have not had in years at the rate of about $6,000 per month. So please pray for increased financial provision for us and for the breakthrough that I think is around the corner.  More on that with the next blog post. See you soon!
