Keeping On Keeping On

I have been getting in some hiking to strengthen my body and get oxygen to all my cells. This is beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene

It’s been awhile since I have updated, so I thought I would catch up on that today.  In my March 21 post I talked about the bitter-sweet part of this journey and my lab results continued on that trajectory.  My CTC (circulating cancer cells) results came back higher than in the past at 200.

It was tempting to be discouraged, and in honesty I had to wade my way through some discouragement. Thankfully, I am getting practiced at that and it didn't last long and I was able to get back to the right mindset, remembering that Dr. Cochran said:

  • We get concerned when the CTC numbers are around 400-450 and above

  • It’s normal for fluctuation in the numbers

  • We are in the long haul not a short sprint

By the time I met with Dr. Cochran I was at peace and it was encouraging to hear that he was also encouraged about the progress in other areas and feels like I am on a good trajectory.

We talked about looking at things that could be stopping up my immune system, so we moved forward with testing for mold/fungus and heavy metals.  I should get the results back in about 2-3 weeks.

On another note, one of the five areas to work on our health is mental health.  This is something I have been working on in myself for quite some time, and recently the Lord showed me something about myself that led me down the path of starting counseling.  It’s pretty amazing to think about how He showed me that and then one door opened after another to begin counseling with a Christian based office.  My counselor confirmed what the Lord showed me, which was that at a young age I emotionally dissociated as a result of some goings on during my 1st five years of life. I mentioned this to Dr. Cochran and he is very supportive of healing emotional traumas as part of healing the cancer and encouraged me toward that for part of my healing protocol. I am looking forward to the possibilities this offers.

So, other than adding that in and doing the testing, we are continuing with the protocol I have been on.  I will be retesting in June and meeting with Dr. Cochran in early July to go over the results.

Prayer requests:

My prayers are that there will be a significant change in the right direction before the next tests and, if the Lord be willing, a miracle of miracles of complete healing, which is what I am ultimately believing for, in His timing.  Please join me in praying for this.

Also, that I would be in tune with what the Lord has for me relating to the cancer protocol AND in every area of life, that I would stay connected in to Him all the time and receive His wisdom daily.  I have discovered that I have a tendency to go through periods of “going through the motions” and I don’t want to do that, I want to remember the Lord in every step and give Him glory for every bit of progress, or every challenge that He is allowing for my benefit and growth.

Please pray for financial provision, for without it I don’t see how we can sustain what we are doing long term.  Pray for Dan as he is working hard at both of his businesses as well as studying for his securities licenses, which will be tremendously helpful for our financial provision.  He has 2 of 4 tests left, one he plans to take by the end of this month and the other he will take in early fall.
I got to use the hyperbaric chamber (HBOT) a few times in April. It's a great way to get oxygen to all my cells and, to be maximumly affective against cancer, needs to be done around 40-50 times back to back. Did I mention that cancer cells don't survive in oxygen? This is something I am praying for financial provision for and is on my wish list to continue with as part of my protocol.
Thank you for tracking with me on my journey. So many of you have checked in with me, and that really means a lot to me.  Many of you have helped out financially through our GoFundMe Page or personally. It continues to touch my heart, that some of you are walking this journey with me by continuing to let me know you are praying and/or continuing to send financial support.  I am just SO GRATEFUL.

My hope is to write a little more frequently, though I have been having a challenge gathering my thoughts when I am settled enough to sit at my computer. I am working on recalibrating my weekly routine as the weather warms up and realigning my time priorities, as much as I can, to fit in more outdoors activities and yet move forward with my goal to write more. We’ll see how it goes.
